We live in a world where natural resources like air and water are being threatened by the onslaught of human activities. Pollution and industrialization have caused the depletion of Mother Nature's reserves at an alarming rate.
What we can we do to save the Earth?
Students may explore the following topics on this theme:
* Conservation
* Pollution (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)
* Innovations for the Earth
Question 2:
1. Pay attention to how you use water. The little things can make a big difference. Every time you turn off the water while you're brushing your teeth, you're doing something good. Got a leaky toilet? You might be wasting 200 gallons of water a day [Source: EPA]. Try drinking tap water instead of bottled water, so you aren't wasting all that packaging as well. Wash your clothes in cold water when you can.
2. Leave your car at home. If you can stay off the road just two days a week, you'll reduce greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 1,590 pounds per year [Source: EPA]. Combine your errands -- hit the post office, grocery store and shoe repair place in one trip. It will save you gas and time.
3. Walk or ride your bike to work, school and anywhere you can. You can reduce greenhouse gases while burning some calories and improving your health. If you can't walk or bike, use mass transit or carpool. Every car not on the road makes a difference.

4. Recycle.You can help reduce pollution just by putting that soda can in a different bin. If you're trying to choose between two products, pick the one with the least packaging. If an office building of 7,000 workers recycled all of its office paper waste for a year, it would be the equivalent of taking almost 400 cars off the road [Source: EPA].
- Compost. Think about how much trash you make in a year. Reducing the amount of solid waste you produce in a year means taking up less space in landfills, so your tax dollars can work somewhere else. Plus, compost makes a great natural fertilizer. Composting is easier than you think.
Compost means to use decayed organic material as a plant fertilizer.

Question 1:
To me, human beings' selfish acts will bring about the Earth's doom because during our daily lives at home, we use up alot of Earth's natural resourses. (Eg, watching TV, bathing, driving a car, using air-con, etc, etc) The worse is that other than just wasting them at home, we also use lots of them at work. Some companies, once in a while will emits carb0n and other toxic gases which can cause global warming. (Greenhouse Gases)

Will human beings' selfish acts bring about the Earth's doom?
The answer is very clear to everyone. Human beings' selfish acts will definitely bring about the Earth's doom.
What we can we do to save the Earth?
There are many things we can do to save the Earth.
Conservation
There are many things we can conserve in life, but it is really just a matter of whether we want to conserve or not. There are like an endless list of things that we can conserve. Below are just a few things we can conserve in our daily lives:
-Use the water used from rinsing rice to water the plants.
-DO not wash things in the sink under a running tap.
-Reuse the plastic bags retrieved from shopping groceries for the next time when you are shopping for groceries.
Pollution
Pollution is another huge factor which affects the earth. Pollution can be caused by various kinds of things. For example, pollution caused by cars. We should make use of the advanced innovation of CNG cars which uses natural gas instead of fuels derived from fossil fuels.
Innovation for the Earth
As mentioned above, the innovation of CNG cars would be able to reduce the air pollution, and at the same time, it helps mother Earth to keep running and live healthily. A simple innovation can either bring total doom to Earth, but it can also save mother Earth from dying out so easily. For example, even a simple thing like using solar panels to generate electricity will be able to cause a huge impact on mother Earth. It helps to save our crude oil from running out.

I think it is only a matter of time before we cause the earth's doom if we continue burning fossil fuels, cutting down trees and so on.
What we can we do to save the Earth?
- We can conserve energy and resources. Conserve energy by switching off power sources when not in use. Conserve resources by not wasting them.
- We can put the 3 Rs to use. Firstly, we can reduce our rate of burning fossil fuels, polluting the environment and deforestation. Secondly, we can reuse materials and things that we have used before. Like example, we can reuse plastic bags. Lastly, we can recycle plastic bottles, glass bottles and papers. We can drop the recyclable materials at the recycling point.
- We can innovate for the Earth. It means think of solutions to help the Earth and not lead it to its doom. There are ideas brained stormed by scientists all over the world. The ideas are called Geo-engineering. It involves attempting to cool the climate through planetary-scale actions like blocking sunlight by stationing mirrors in space. Others include seeding the seas with iron to bring the planktons from the seabed to the surface as they can absorb more greenhouse gases, and injecting sulfur into the upper atmosphere to create sunlight-deflecting clouds. But as effective as they sound, they are currently under science-fiction and encounter many setbacks. Even though it is within human means, the cost of building the required things may put the world into bankruptcy.

take steps to stop carbon emission.
To save the world, we should conserve the amount of
electricity that we use in our daily life by switching off
the lights when we are not in the room etc. We can also
reuse paper by throwing them away only when both sides of it
are used. Also, we should recycle things like washed
bottles.
